3 - Looks and fit
As a newcomer to the golf industry, Mitt Golf currently only has one style of golf glove available. It looks like a fairly traditional golf glove but is not too bland thanks to the light green tag stitched onto the side. Although relatively small and discrete, the colour of the tag may not be to everyone’s taste, so this is perhaps something Mitt could consider offering variations on in the future. A black version of the glove for use during the winter months would also be welcomed, however, I think this would probably need to be synthetic rather than Cabretta leather to be hard-wearing enough for the wetter/dirtier conditions.
The Cabretta leather feels incredibly soft and the fit (I wear small) is perfect – both helping to provide all-round comfort. As you can see from the above images and below video, it really is a lovely-looking golf glove and every single glove I’ve received so far has been of the highest quality in terms of its finish.

Not only are their gloves essentially half the price of those stocked by your local golf pro or golf store but they’re sent directly to you based on how often you play (and the subscription you choose), meaning you’re likely to always have a new or relatively new glove ready to help you play your best golf.

In the many years I’ve played golf, I’ve worn gloves from a wide-range of manufacturers including FootJoy, Srixon, Wilson and TaylorMade, an in all honesty, the Mitt Golf gloves are every bit as good as any of them, if not better. They are very well made, with neat stitching and no scores, scratches or loose threads.
In terms of on-course performance, I’ve found the Mitt Golf gloves to wear well and have not noticed any creasing, tearing or cracking in the leather, even after several uses. Whilst Mitt recommend amateur golfers change their gloves every 6-8 rounds, if you buy the correctly sized glove for your hand and look after it properly, you should be able to get more than one month out of each glove even if playing twice weekly. Of course, this will largely depend on playing conditions, correct sizing, swing speed, grip pressure and generally how well you look after the glove when you’re not using it (e.g. not stuffing it into your golf bag when wet).
I’ve worn my Mitt Golf gloves during moderately light rainfall and haven’t experienced any noticeable drop in performance in terms of grip, but it has never been more than a few spits of light rain when I’ve played. Personally, when it gets really wet on the golf course, I prefer to wear specifically designed wet-weather gloves for optimal performance rather than a standard golf glove. In my experience, no golf glove, whether synthetic leather, Cabretta leather or other is worth wearing when it gets really wet out on the golf course – wet weather golf gloves are a must for any golfer playing in variable weather conditions.
